“Being deeply loved by a person gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”– Lao Tzu

I just returned from my niece Annie’s wedding on a beautiful beach in La Jolla, California. The setting was stunning but even more heart warming was to be a witness to the power of love..parents for their precious daughters, siblings for their sisters, aunts and uncles for their nieces, nephews and nieces for their aunts, Grandparents for their granddaughters and friends for their best gal pals.

I saw a family transform. It wasn’t an easy transformation along the way. The road was rocky mixed with tears and also many laughs. Change is hard in any circumstance. Dreams turned upside down..only to land right where they were supposed to…a tribute to the power of LOVE. All we ever want as parents is to see our kids happy. Sometimes what we thought “it” would look like looks very different then what our kids want and ultimately need. Love isn’t always easy but takes courage, understanding, and love. Annie and Jamie epitomize all 3 of those qualities. I am proud to call you both family.

I saw the power of love in action. It will continue to grow and expand. We joyfully welcome Jamie into our crazy insane family. It is a beautiful thing to see happiness blossom. It is true what they say….All you need Is LOVE!
