“To know yourself, be yourself. To be yourself, stop imagining yourself  to be this or that. Just be. Let your true nature emerge. Don’t disturb your mind with seeking.”– Nisargadatta Maharaj

Ugggg…the dreaded question…”So, what do you do?” I would go into that..” come up with something interesting” aside from…I’m a Mom. As I think about it now I cringe to think I felt as if that wasn’t some how good enough. There always seemed to be this on going battle between the working moms and the stay at home moms. We have all heard the banter back and forth.blahh, blahh, blahh. That battle is for another blog post. This was more my gig…why did I feel this way?

I set forth on my quest to figure out my insanity…here is a few of my take away of things I learned and discovered to finally be able to celebrate my “enoughness” My first of many epithany moments was when asked…”What is the “why” behind why you do what you do?”  (Thank you Lisa Canning) That question made an incredible mark on my journey to figure it out. It broke it down to the simpleness form.

-Do what you LOVE!

-Life isn’t a battle of one upsmanship. It is best to be me and not some figment of what I think I’m suppose to be in someone elses mind or my own ego.

-We all need a sense of purpose.

-Giving back drives my soul.

-Always look to the good…ESPECIALLY in myself… because if I don’t feel that love for myself I can’t possibly give to others what they need.

-It is ok and necessary to “dream” and dream big.

-Going through yet another “rebirth” is still as exciting, messy, loud, painfully slow, out of control, beautiful as an actual birth…the end result was worth it.

-I need to nurture…hence, I welcomed Joe Cocker into my world. I guess cleaning up “poop” will always be part of my resume. lol

-I have an incredible portfolio resume…from my days of running my corporation of 4 aka The Warner Household.

-Being raised in a big family is the best education there is on how to get along with others in life…along with incredible parents.

-I am always in some form of transition/ change…I have learned to really embrace and free fall into it.

-FAITH

– I have formed through the years an incredible “board of directors” to help manage, support and love one another.

-I had to quit looking at what I wasn’t and rock and be proud of what I am.

-Enthusiasm is contagious and one of my blessed gifts and my love of people.

-The above is quite marketable too.

– The world needs me….and the me that is real, transparent, full of joy, using my insane sense of humor.

-I don’t always want to have all the answers…I want to always be a seeker.

-This is a most delicious time in my life.

-I have leaned to always honor and listen to those “stirrings” deep in my soul and what my gut tells me.

-Play to my strengths the rest will fall into place.

-Be still and quiet…and for those that know me…that can be quite a task.

-Nothing is written in stone…I can decide to do something differently…even after 25 years of doing it the same way….just because I CAN.

-I have choices. No need to limit myself.

-Passion,passion and more passion…I don’t know how to do it any other way… shy, quiet and demure isn’t in my DNA.

-If someone can’t handle my enthusiasm for life and my joy move on…I must never ever again feel the need to dumb myself down to make someone else feel better about themselves.

-No one can steal my joy.

-I rather love being a square peg in a round world. It is a much needed skill.

The bottom line is that I am a work in progress…I’m a student of life and CEO of my incredible life experiences. Thank you all for being my teachers, guides and my students.
