“The real voyage of discovery consists of not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.”– Marcel Proust

Is today the day we pull out a new map and set sail to seek out and discover something new about ourselves and others? Clean our lens that we look out into the world with. Maybe take OFF those glasses that only seem to see life as dark and scary and switch to a new and improved pair that help us see the love, joy, kindness and humor that surrounds us. It’s ok to lighten up on yourself and others…a smile will appear and a frown will disappear.

Discover your strength that helped you reach out for help and you got just what you needed to make a change. Look at your kids as young adults and not little kids any more and celebrate a job well done, not sadness that they are growing up and leaving the nest. Time for Mom and Dad to be kids again. Discover what made you both fall madly in love with one another instead of whining about what they aren’t any more. Discover that you really DO love your job or Hate it…and be brave and explore  a new career path or give thanks for the good gig you have. Look at your home as your safe haven and not how many dust bunnies there are under the bed. Invite friends over and name the dust bunnies…they just want to spend time with you and don’t care what your house looks like. Read a book on a subject you’ve always found interesting or a person you admire. Take a class or workshop…learn to make crepes or how that new camera works or public speaking. You might just discover a new passion that changes your life.

Ok… move over Lewis and Clark and Chris Columbus…. we are setting off on our own great adventures to make some exciting new discoveries today. Happy “splorin”
