We are in “full on” election mode until November. It makes me kinda weary aready…the nasty ads, the bashing, the “my party is better then your party”, to tax to not to tax, rich vs poor with a middle class chaser, Wall St vs Main Street….We have red states, we have blue states…what the heck happened to the “UNITED” States????

Do you see yourself as a leader? Many years back I was asked this question by someone while  talking about our “gifts”. I gave a resounding N-O…man I’m not a leader…but you want me on your team. I’m not one that needs or wants to be out front leading the “troops”, barking orders, keeping everyone in line…I wasn’t General Patton material. Krista was shocked to hear me say that. She saw me as a leader…but I’d never thought of myself as the traditional leader. I took sometime to ponder a question no one had ever asked me before.

I thought…hummmm…I kinda like to rally the troops in a much different way I guess. I told her I was a “behind” the scenes leader/ cheerleader. I pumped them up with encouragement, humor and adaptability. I lead by example as best I can…some days I’m better at it then others.

I recently answered this exact question on the website SoulPancake. 3 qualities of a good leader. I said… adaptability, humility and a great sense of humor. What do you think?
